In order to accept any fitness and diet advice, you have to understand that easy weight loss does not equal fast weight loss. Fast weight loss can be quite debilitating to your fitness, health and state of mind, depending on what you consider “fast” to be.
Fast weight loss is actually very hard. It is not easy weight loss. To drop kilos quickly, you have to have a lot of focus and self discipline, no matter how you go about it. After weeks, months, years or even a lifetime of indulging yourself, it takes a special type of person to achieve and maintain fast weight loss.
Step back from your frustrations and take into consideration how long it took you to put on your excess weight. It will come off faster than it went on if you put your mind to the right fitness program and diet plan, but you are looking at 6 weeks to 2 months rather than a few days to see a significant decrease in weight and increase in fitness.
If you are flirting with the concept of fitness, you have to be prepared to do some sort of heart rate lifting exercise 6 times a week. While walking is the exercise of choice of the vast majority of people who lose weight and keep it off, if you are really not disposed towards walking, find something else to do that you really like. Did you surf as a youngster? Ride a bike? Swim? You can easily start this type of exercise again.
The key is to do what you enjoy or enjoy what you do. If you can’t develop this mindset, fitness is a mere mirage on your distant horizon. And like all mirages, it will never get any closer if you just sit there and dream about it. Diet advice is not going to touch you if you are not prepared to change your eating habits.
A big pink pill washed down with a 3 course meal and a bottle of hope will not result in easy weight loss. You will not shrink your hips, thighs or waistline. It will fix the bulge in your wallet or purse, however, if you go ahead and buy the lies. If you need to lose weight then all or some of the following will definitely apply to you. You eat too much. You eat the wrong types of food. You eat at incorrect intervals and at the wrong times of day.
For the next week, without changing your eating habits, make a list of everything that passes through your mouth. What food, what amount, how many calories. Write down when it is that you eat. Juxtapose that with how much energy you put out in exercise. Be accurate. You have to be cruel to be kind, especially where easy weight loss is concerned.
Now get yourself some information. Find out how many calories you should be taking in for your body type and height. Work out what fats, carbs and protein you are going to live on for your new lifelong, lifestyle diet.
Make a plan and stick to it. Forgive your digressions, but make them temporary little ones if you really want to lose weight and get fit. Easy weight loss comes from following accurate and do-able fitness and diet advice. You must make the commitment and then you will achieve your goals.
